Step back into another in this small yet appropriately sized museum that combines the James Herriot stories and the story of the Vet and author Alf Wight with a veterinary museum all under the same roof (so as to speak). Well worth a visit, there is an ample gift store attached to the museum. I would allow at least 90 minutes to do the exhibitions and the film justice.

Fabulous place to visit. Took my nan for her birthday she thoroughly enjoyed it and has been a follower of James Herriot for many years.

Really enjoyed the visit, learnt a lot more than I already knew. Worth a visit for all ages. The lady in the gift shop was more than helpful and solved a parking issue, thank you.

Entrance fee of £8.50 maybe a bit steep.
You are actually seeing the house where James Wright home and surgery was.
We found it interesting .
This is must if you love the TV series and books.
Lovely lady at entrance .
Our experience was worth the entrance fee.
If you listern to the videos displays and take your time about 1 1/2hours to 2 hours is enough .

A wonderful and fascinating insight into the life and times of James Herriot.

GEWELDIG!! Iedere seconde genoten. Zoveel " ojaaa "momentjes !! We hebben ook de auto tour gedaan die te koop is in het winkeltje. De dame achter de balie was super lief en behulpzaam . 5 sterren plus!!!

Excellent. If you enjoy the books, or any of the TV productions, just go. It is comprehensive and faithful. We spent at least an hour walking around, and the most surprising thing is just how much homes have changed in 60 or so years. A real step back in time.
